Just returned from a 75 mile backpacking hike along the Appalachian Trail through the Great Smoky Mountian National Park.  Hiking alone through part of the most remote sections of this enourmous park was at times terrifying, if I could have quit I probably would have several times.  Fact was, there was no place to go except back the way I came or forward.

We sometimes tell our clients that the only way out is through, easy to say, often hard to do.
